Cologne is almost my second home. And there are some good places worth a visit. First of all there is Habitat and COS. Two good reasons to go there. Another beautiful place and our favourite shop is Gold. Here you can find Scandinavian designer brands like S.N.S., Wood Wood, Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair, Vibskov or Whyred.

Heimat also carries a fine collection of designer brands as Bruno Pieters, Veronique Branquinho and Hussein Chalayan. The guys behind Heimat created the fashion fanzine Mode Depesche that won the Lead-Award 2008 for best fashion photography.

Unfortunately California Vintage closed its doors (so where do i find vintage Butt magazines now?). But second hand lovers still can discover nice pieces at Vintage & Rags where I lately found a nice Acne-like blouson.

For gourmets there's this little, tiny, pink patisserie called Törtchen Törtchen. They offer extremely sexy cakes in dazzling array.

The best ice cream can be found at Breda near Rudolfplatz. I recommend you to try the coffee crunch. And best Schnitzel in town is served at Oma Kleinmann. If you like to enjoy an afternoon tea in a truly old-fashioned and cozy interior, sitting in armchairs and watching senior citizens, the place to be is Café Wahlen. The retro inspired little coffee house Café Franck is also a must.
